Lizbeth Perez

Lizbeth Perez (she/her) was the Student Support Specialist for the Bio/Diversity Project from 2020-2022. She is most recently from Yuma, AZ, and moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. She joined the WISE team after being part of the Bio/Diversity Project as an intern in Fall 2019. Her year-long appointment as a Spanish Specializing Intern gave her a new outlook on her place in the university and led her to a path of mentorship in the environmental sciences. She also gained the knowledge and experience to support incoming interns and support the behind-the-scenes ongoings of the Bio/Diversity Project. Lizbeth graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources with an Emphasis in Wildlife Conservation. After graduating, she obtained a job with Saguaro National Park as a NextGeneration Park ranger and credits her time with the Bio/Diversity Project on her path to this new role.
